Linking Bloom's taxonomy to E-Learning
An active academic of Bloom’s Taxonomy and linking the learning to ICT application, is Andrew Churches. He is the author of Bloom’s Digital Taxonomy, which accounts for the new learning opportunities available due to advances in technology including web 2.0 technologies. After studying his options for each of the thinking skills, I created the following document which links them to software or websites that may achieve the intended higher order thinking.

Taxonomy | Example | Description |
Remembering | Bookmarking with Xmarks | Xmarks allow learners to bookmark researched websites and share the same list across many computers. |
Understanding | Categorising with Bubbl.us | Bubble.us allow learners to plan, sort or classify information or websites |
Applying | Uploading and Sharing with Voki | Voki’s allow learners to create talking avatars that may share key ideas with others |
Analysing | Validating with Wikipedia | Learners may analyse the information on a Wikipedia (or other wiki) and confirm their validity and sources |
Evaluating | Posting (or comment on posts) with Blogger | Posting or commenting allow for threaded discussions related to a topic or concept |
Creating | Publishing with YouTube | By creating a clip to share publicly encourage learners to have vision, understand the components to produce a unique artefact |
